Christ the Incarnate Word Catholic Church was established in 1998 by Bishop Joseph Fiorenza as a parish of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The late Monsignor Phillipe Le Xuan Thuong was the the first pastor who lead the parish from 300 families into one of the largest Vietnamese parish in the Archdiocese with 1,500 families (over 6,000 people). Msgr. Phillipe passed away on January 16, 2015. On April 28, 2015, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo appointed Rev. John Vianney Thu Ngoc Nguyen as the pastor for Christ, the Incarnate Word.
Christ, the Incarnate Word is a vibrant Vietnamese-American parish that continues to grow as a result of communal sharing of time, talent, and treasure. With the continue growth of our parish, a parish center was needed for our parish programs and ministries. In 2005, the parish center, Immaculate Heart of Mary was completed. Our parish offers Religious Education Program (Faith Formation), Children Vietnamese Language Program, ministries for community outreach, parish-life programs, prayer, bible study, among many other activities for the faithful. In addition, our Life Teen program comes alive during the school year with the gathering of hundreds of teens every Sunday for 2:30pm Mass and monthly JAM (Jesus and Me).
Christ, the Incarnate Word welcomes you!
